Custody & Bond Redeterminations

Bond Redetermination requests are separate from removal proceedings.

Applications for bond redeterminations may be made by a Respondent in writing, in person, or in the discretion of the Immigration Judge, by telephone. The Immigration Judge’s decision on a bond redetermination application is entered on the appropriate form. Appeals of the Immigration Judge’s decision may be made to the Board of Immigration Appeals.
