The House of Representatives passed the Dream and Promise Act, which would significantly expand protections for DACA recipients and other immigrants looking for legal status, including citizenship.
The bill would provide protection from deportation and a path to citizenship to over 2 million Dreamers and TPS and DED recipients. Its passage is a landmark win: this is the first bill to protect Dreamers that has passed the House of Representatives since 2010.
