President Trump is proposing a refugee ceiling of 18,000 for FY2020. The United States expects to receive more than 368,000 new refugees and asylum claims in fiscal year (FY) 2020. This includes a proposed 18,000 refugees and more than 350,000 individuals in new asylum cases.
