US Investor Immigration Process

Among the many op-ons to immigrate to the U.S., investing might be the most feasible or the only op-on for some foreigners. But not all investment op-ons are created equal.

We will seek to provide answers to the basic questions, who, what, where, when, why, how. Who qualifies for E-2, L1, EB1, or EB5 investment categories? What is the amount of required investment? Where should you invest into? When will you be able to immigrate or relocate to the U.S.? When will you get your green card? How do you start the process?

Generally, there are two nonimmigrant investment categories and two immigrant investment categories. Namely, E-2 and L-1 are the nonimmigrant categories while EB1 and EB5 are the immigrant categories. E-2 visa is only available for the nationals of certain treaty countries.

Once you had a taste of living in the U.S as a nonimmigrant, you might be interested in living in the U.S. permanently. Perhaps, you’ve already made up your mind about permanently relocating to America. In either case, EB-1 or EB-5 may be the category that will best meet your immigration needs. If you are an executive or a manager of a multi-national company, then EB-1 is the way to go. If you have enough money and don’t care to be working for any company, then EB-5 may be the right vehicle to permanent residency in the U.S.
