William Menard, Esq.

William oversees the business visa department at Root Law Group.  Prior to joining RLG, William has spent the last 10 years representing both individual and corporate clients in all facets of immigration law.  William has appeared on behalf of clients in deportation proceedings before immigration courts throughout the country, including in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.   William has completed and advised on a host of permanent residence visas, including green cards for family members of United States Citizens (both consular processing applications and adjustments of status within the United States), and EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 visas for business managers, executives, other professionals, and investors (including PERM labor certifications, when needed), as well as a wide range of temporary visas, including E visas for investors, O and P visas for persons of extraordinary ability and exceptional athletes, F visas for international students, L visas for both international corporations and their executives and managers, and TN Visas for professionals from Canada and Mexico.  William has represented numerous clients before both the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services and Board of Immigration Appeals, and conducted oral arguments before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.  Through this representation, William has worked extensively on applications for asylum, applications for cancellation of removal from the United States for both permanent and nonpermanent residents, and many more.  William has represented clients from six continents spanning the entire globe, including: Mexico, Canada, and El Salvador; Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina; Armenia, Germany, Russia, and the United Kingdom; Senegal, Egypt, and Ghana; China, Japan, and the Philippines; and Australia.

Before becoming an attorney, William grew up in New York City.  He attended Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA, graduating in 2009, and St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, NY, graduating in 2012.  William resides in Sherman Oaks with his wife and two children.  He enjoys hiking, playing sports with his kids, exploring the Los Angeles art and restaurant scenes with his wife, and LA Lakers basketball.

William is admitted to practice in the State of New York, as well as before the United States Supreme Court, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, Third Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and All Federal Immigration Agencies.  William is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
